Electronic devices are an integral part of our daily lives. We use digital media for work, education and entertainment. That's why we spend most of our time looking at the screens of devices such as computers, televisions, tablets and phones. The rapid integration of technology into our lives has not bypassed our health. Thus, these devices pose a serious threat to our eye health.

According to ophthalmologist Aygun Nabiyeva, who gave an interview to our website about eye diseases, the number of blinking in our eyes decreases when we look at the screens of electronic devices:

"A person sitting in front of a screen should look at a fixed object 20 steps apart every 20 minutes for 20 seconds. This restores the number of blinks in our eyes to normal and is a remedy for eye fatigue. In addition, the use of goggles and moisturizing eye drops protects against the individual effects of radiation.

A. Nabiyeva noted that going to the doctor for an eye examination varies depending on the condition of the eye:

"People with healthy eyes should be examined by a doctor once a year. For example, people with distant vision problems should see a doctor once every 6 months. In addition, age plays a role. For example, children with strabismus should be examined once every 3 months. Diabetes patients over the age of 40 also need medical supervision within 3 months. ”
